In some much needed good news the UK Post Office has been named ‘Capitalist organisation of the year’ by Forbes magazine.
The Post Office is currently under fire for falsely convicting 900 postmasters for fraud due to a bug in their IT systems, in what has been described by Prime Minister Rishi Sunak as the “one of the greatest miscarriage of justice in UK history.”
However, Forbes has chosen to shine a spotlight on the positive side of the scandal.
“People often state that employees are the life blood of any organisation,” said a Forbes press release. “But they’re wrong. The minions below C Suite level are interchangeable and kudos to the UK Post Office for recognising this in a time when organisations too often pander to low level drones.
By charging 3,500 postmasters with fraud and convicting 900 of them, they’re showing they know just how crooked their employees are and exhibiting blind faith in the infallibility of their systems and processes. That’s what being an executive is truly about.
It’s especially admirable that The Post Office swept aside any concerns or calls for overview when securing privatization in 2012. Those whiny little monkeys weren’t going to stop a bumper pay out.”
DTTN congratulates the Post Office on their prestigious award and hope it goes some way to assuaging their hurt feelings for being caught destroying thousands of lives.
