Stadium renaming just the start for SuperValu Park

Cork’s iconic GAA stadium Páirc Uí Chaoimh looks set to be renamed SuperValu Park, in a motion that will be presented to the Cork County Board later today.

And DTTN understands that this exciting sponsorship deal, which in no way undermines years of sporting tradition, is just the tip of the iceberg with more exciting innovations to follow.

Amongst the proposals currently being considered by the Cork County Board are:

  • Player of the Match for every game to receive a €50 SuperValu voucher.
  • SuperValu Real Rewards App points to be given for each score – one for a point and three for a goal.
  • Scheduled breaks in play to allow players to refuel with SuperValu branded orange juice or Frank and Honest coffee.
  • In venue catering produce to be supplied exclusively by SuperValu.
  • Any fans found consuming products from Tesco or Dunnes to be removed from ground.
  • Any fans consuming products from Lidl or Aldi to be barred for life and reported to Gardai.
  • Players to perform choreographed goal celebrations with SuperValu Signature Tastes products that will be uploaded live to TikTok.
  • All players to carry SuperValu bags for life on field at all times.
  • Players to mention SuperValu special offers in every sentence during post-match interviews
