Regional Independent TDs cause chaos at local wedding

Not content with disrupting Dail proceedings for weeks by wanting to be both government and opposition, the four TDs comprising the Regional Independent Technical Group have now wrought chaos at a local wedding.

Michael Lowry, Barry Heneghan, Danny Healy-Rae and Gillian Toole turned up uninvited to the ceremony and when asked if they were with the bride or groom claimed both and stood four abreast in the middle of the church aisle, blocking the wedding party from passing.

“They wouldn’t budge, even when the bride begged them,” said one appalled guest. “They just linked arms and started singing I Shall Be Released before the groomsmen had to forcibly remove them.”

Despite refusing to apologise the foursome brazenly turned up at the drinks reception, where they had both tea & coffee and orange juice & prosecco, working the room, where they insisted on asking questions of all the guests present.

After several trips to the bathroom, both male & female and the accessible toilet, the TDs managed to wrangle places at the dinner service, where they attempted to order both choices of starter and main.

This led to a 20 minute stand off with hotel management and a further rendition of I Shall Be Released before the wedding party caved and served them all options.

The four picked at their food and skipped before dessert citing “important constituency matters” without leaving a card or present for the bride and groom.
