Alan Sugar has gone viral on social media after selecting Covid-19 as his next business partner.
Sugar, who invests £250,000 in a new partner every year through The Apprentice, is believed to have grown weary of the constant parade of puffed-up narcissists with half-baked business plans competing for his attention.
With filming of a new season of The Apprentice on hold due to the pandemic, Sugar has targeted the virus who he’s identified as a “highly driven self-starter.”
“Covid-19 is the perfect business partner for Lord Sugar,” said a spokesperson. “It’s already an established brand with a global reach. With such a high level of public awareness, you would need minimal marketing spend.
It’s a real step up from the two-bit recruitment agencies and food businesses we usually see. Covid-19 has its big boy pants on.”
With Lord Sugar on board Covid-19 will look to increase turnover and market share in a bid to dominate the global industry.
Covid-19 was not available for comment, but sources indicate that it will use the £250,000 cash injection to create a stylish new logo that encapsulates its key corporate principles of customer care and winning ethically.
