Sex and the City is returning to our screens 17 years after the hit show ended. And Just Like That will feature original cast members, with the exception of Kim Cattrall’s Samantha.
In a surprise move, producers have announced a replacement in new character, TRUMPY, to be played by outgoing US President Donald Trump.
“TRUMPY is a sassy blonde who marches to the beat of his own drum,” said a producer. “And he’s going to show us that blondes really do have more fun!”
TRUMPY is being referred to by fans as “Samantha on steroids. And hydroxychloroquine.”
“Whereas Samantha might jet off for an impetuous weekend romance in Paris, TRUMPY raises the bar with cheeky midweek coup attempts followed by killer cocktails at the after party,” said the producer.
“TRUMPY is a social media content creator who always gets his own way, so watch out girls!”
This represents the first time a male character has joined the core Sex and the City group, and represents a victory for onscreen diversity.
The show runners are believed to have underlined the importance of having the marginalised voice of the white male heard on mainstream television.
“TRUMPY will make America, and the girls, great again, and look fabulous while he’s doing it,” said the producer.
