Scientists have expressed concern after a new strain of racist diabetes was uncovered in the United States on Thursday.
The shocking discovery was made when a commentator on a girl’s high school basketball game in Oklahoma blamed a racist outburst on his sugar levels spiking.
“This is most concerning,” said a WHO spokesperson. “It appears that the commentator’s Type 1 diabetes has mutated into what we are calling Type R. The symptoms are much the same as standard Type 1, except the sufferer has an inexplicable urge to utter vile racist sentiment.”
The WHO does not believe Type R diabetes are Covid related, but have been unable to rule out the possibility.
“There is anecdotal evidence that Type R patients are opposed to masks and statistically more likely to believe Covid is a liberal hoax, but nothing concrete.”
Caucasian males are believed to be especially prone to this new strain.
The WHO has advised anyone who believes they may have developed Type R diabetes to immediately consult their physician.
“It’s important for sufferers to seek immediate medical attention. If left unchecked Type R diabetes can lead to acute racist sentiment, an urge to don white hoods and purchasing of Confederate flags,” concluded the WHO spokesperson.
